I was in a very dangerous situation with my son and I lost everything.

I felt hopeless as a new mom. But as soon as I heard about The Whole Child, I knew it the was perfect program for me. Right away, they were understanding and they got my housing process started.

I am grateful for everyone that has been my caseworker at The Whole Child. Without them, I wouldn’t be housed and I wouldn’t have been able to start my new journey.

Hopefully some day, I can become a case worker and help out people who have been or are going through the same things that I went through.

A year ago I put an end to my suffering of three years and took the initiative to leave my abuser.

Removing myself and fleeing with my daughters wasn’t easy. I had much fear inflicted in me… however I’m grateful that I had the courage to leave.

This decision drastically changed my life but The Whole Child’s assistance has had a huge positive impact on my life. Not only was The Whole Child able to find us housing but they also provided a safe environment for us, some living essentials, and other resources. I want to express my gratitude. Thank you for giving me a sense of hope to start living again.

I’m a single mom of three beautiful kids. I suffered mentally and physically for three years due to abuse from my ex-partner. One day his abuse sent me to the hospital and I was there for almost a month and a half. It was the worst experience I went through; I had suicidal thoughts and I’m still working on myself and my recovery to this day. It hasn’t been easy mentally, physically, or emotionally.

My body will never be the same. There are times that I still get horrible migraines due to all the hits that I took from my ex-partner. I’m just so thankful to God and I’m just so thankful for The Whole Child, who has been there for me and my kids since I walked into their office. It is such a wonderful program and I hope they continue to help people because without their help I don’t know where I would be right now.

Thanks to The Whole Child, my kids and I have somewhere to call home. I will never be able to say thank you enough.
