Last evening, residents at our Safe Families facility in Echo Park enjoyed an end-of-summer barbecue, complete with tasty treats off the grill, games for the kids, and many of our awesome partners making educational and employment resources available for parents. Beach balls and water balloons were tossed around, blankets were given out for picnicking, and a great time was had by all!
We’re grateful to all of our partner groups (LA County Office of Education, Southeast LA Workforce Development Board, Mexican American Opportunity Foundation) for attending, volunteer grillmaster Greg Martinez for cooking up burgers and dogs, and of course our staff for putting it all together!
