Becoming a Better Me

I started going to The Whole Child a few years ago, mostly for family and personal issues I was having, as well as because I was bullied at school. Things were tough for me, but with the help of my therapist, I started to overcome so much in my life, especially my anxiety. We talk about my social life, and I asked her if some of the things that I’m going through are normal and she reassured me when they were. My therapist also taught me helpful techniques, such as how to think in certain situations, to surround myself with things that make me happy and things that will benefit me. I learned that if I don’t like a situation to either tell someone or leave. I was becoming a happier and better me. Once I got to middle school and high school, I even began to take AP classes and got into honor programs. Now I’m 18 years old and going to college. I’m now able to come out of my comfort zone and socialize even better than I could before. I’m able to announce how I’m feeling because before I would just bottle everything up inside. Overall, I am a better me because of The Whole Child.
