“The Whole Child responded quickly and linked me to the right programs and agencies to set me up with a permanent housing solution. They advocated for me with prospective landlords, and helped me move by providing the first month’s rent and security deposit.
Without the help of The Whole Child I honestly don’t believe my family would be where we are right now, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. They helped me provide my children with a stable home – just to put a roof over our heads has been so healing. I have returned to school to pursue my Bachelor’s degree in social work, made President’s Honor List and started an internship.
I see myself in a place where I can help other women who find themselves in the position I was in prior to finding The Whole Child.”
