For families experiencing homelessness, the New Year brought new opportunities for stability and safety.
Let us share how TWC supported Jessica and her young daughter, who has lived in a shelter since August 2020. With our housing navigator’s help, we found an apartment and guided her through the steps toward renting her new home and moving in. Today, Jessica continues to work with many TWC resources – our mental health education and employment services – and can do so from the stability of her home.
Since July, the start of our program year, we have helped 279 families with housing through the end of February, providing services such as prevention and placement in permanent supportive housing.
