Citizens Business Bank wins the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Business Angel of the Year Award

CONGRATULATIONS to our partners, friends, and gala Hero Sponsors Citizens Business Bank for their incredibly well-deserved award as Los Angeles Business Journal’s Business Angel of the Year! The Whole Child was honored to nominate CBB for this prestigious Corporate and Citizenship Award, presented annually to companies that showcase leadership, vision, and compassion in supporting nonprofit and community organizations. Our CEO, Constanza Pachon, was so excited to be present at the awards ceremony this week to support and cheer for CBB Senior Vice President Michael B. Mulcahy when they were announced as this year’s winners. (Also pictured: Los Angeles Business Journal Publisher and CEO Josh Schimmels; LA Food Bank President and CEO Michael Flood.)

Over the past three years, CBB has provided more than $40,000 to help The Whole Child with our services for children and families. They were a key partner in helping to keep operating during the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown, allowing us to continue our work as an “essential services” provider. Their sponsorship is helping us to build our “Homeless to Homeowner” campus in Santa Fe Springs.

And as grateful as we are, The Whole Child is just ONE of so many area nonprofits that benefit from CBB’s generosity, especially via their annual charity golf tournament. The organizations they select represent a range of services, notably with a special focus on supporting children and youth in ways that break cycles of poverty, homelessness, and trauma.

Citizens Business Bank truly is a “Business Angel” of this year and every year! THANK YOU, CONGRATULATIONS, and we are so excited to celebrate you (and *with* you!) at our annual Healing, Health, and Homes Gala on Thursday, June 6!
