Behind every number is a family working toward a safer, more stable future. Our Domestic Violence Rapid Re-Housing Program served 46 families and 150 individuals, including:

-79 children
-17 youth
-54 adults

These numbers represent individuals and families who received support as they worked toward rebuilding their lives after experiencing domestic violence.

Through our commitment to housing stability and family well-being, we strive to help survivors and their children move forward with dignity, hope, and the opportunity for a brighter future.

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we stand with survivors and remain committed to building safer, stronger families and communities.

We shared the fun from our Trunk-or-Treat earlier today, but now we want to recognize the many people who helped make it all happen.

A huge thank you to our incredible TWC staff, some pictured and some not, who put so much time, creativity, and care into making this event special for our families.

From the planning and preparation behind the scenes to decorating trunks, setting up, handing out candy, welcoming families, and stepping in wherever help was needed, this event was truly a team effort.

We’re so grateful for a team that continues to show up for our families and our community in so many ways. The joy we saw was possible because of all of you. Thank you, Team TWC!

Our Mental Health team was proud to represent The Whole Child at the Association of Community Human Service Agencies (ACHSA) Annual Celebration of Community!

As an ACHSA member, we value the opportunity to come together with fellow community-based organizations committed to strengthening the well-being of children, individuals, and families throughout Los Angeles County.

It was a wonderful afternoon celebrating the people and organizations behind this important work, connecting with community partners, and recognizing the collective impact we can make when we work together.

Every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and secure. Domestic violence doesn`t just affect adults. It impacts children and youth who deserve the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive in a safe and stable environment.

During the 2025–2026 fiscal year, we supported 96 children and youth through our Domestic Violence Rapid Re-Housing Program.

In fact, 64% of the individuals served through this program were children and youth, reminding us just how important it is to support the entire family when rebuilding lives affected by domestic violence.

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we recognize the strength and resilience of survivors and reaffirm our commitment to helping families find safety, stability, and hope.

When Damian first came to The Whole Child in 2019, he was a teenager struggling with anger, substance use, family instability, and the influence of gang activity. With so many challenges surrounding him, a brighter future felt out of reach.

But through our Full-Service Partnership Program, Damian found something that changed everything: people who believed in him, even when he struggled to believe in himself.

With the consistent support of his therapist, Christopher, and Rehabilitation Specialist, Israel, Damian began to heal, rebuild his relationship with his mother, and discover his own potential.

Today, Damian is thriving in school, making positive choices, helping support his family, and setting goals for his future. His mother now sees a young man she is incredibly proud of.

Damian’s story is a powerful reminder that no young person should be defined by their struggles, and that with compassion, consistency, and support, lives can truly be transformed.

The Whole Child has received two awards through the 2026 LA2050 Grants Challenge, led by the Goldhirsh Foundation!

Thanks to a generous $50,000 grant from the Elbaz Family Foundation, we can strengthen Keeping Children Housed, our rapid-response homelessness prevention initiative helping families stabilize before a temporary crisis becomes homelessness.

We’re also honored to receive an award from the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, recognizing our work in communities surrounding Dodgers Dreamfields and creating meaningful opportunities for the families we serve.

Our goal is simple and urgent: prevent a child’s first experience of homelessness. We’re deeply grateful to LA2050, the Elbaz Family Foundation and the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation for investing in families early, when timely support can make all the difference.
